Senior Methods Engineer
Description
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Methods Engineer in the construction industry.
- - Civil or Structural Engineering degree, with at least 5 years' experience in methods or design departments, whether for contractors, subcontractors, specialist suppliers, or consultants.
- - Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. ICE) is preferred, or willingness to pursue membership.
- - You have passed the relevant Temporary Works Design and Coordinator courses.
- - Strong knowledge of UK legislation applicable to construction, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM 2015, and BS EN 5975.
- - Experience in building, new build and refurbishment projects (cut and carve, façade retention, complex urban projects).
- - Strong technical expertise in reinforced concrete frame and temporary works.
- - Ability to create sketches, 3D model views, and detailed construction methodologies.
- - Competent in CAD, BIM, Revit, and Navisworks for 3D modelling and visualisation.
- - Proficiency in project planning using Asta Powerproject.
- - Excellent communication skills across all project levels. You are meticulous, adaptable, well-organised, and capable of building strong relationships.
- - Proficiency in French in a professional context is highly desirable.
- Experience level: at least 5 years (senior level). Education level: Master degree. Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
